Ansar al-Sunna Claims Responsibility for Two Attacks in Heit

On March 9, 2005, Ansar al-Sunna issued two communiquésclaiming responsibility for two attacks in Heit, one of which destroyed a Humvee vehicle west of Heit resulting in the death of 6 individuals, and another, which destroyed an American Humvee outside of the American soldiers? barracks in Heit, claiming the lives of 5 soldiers

The first communiqué, states that ?The explosion completely destroyed the car and four intelligence individuals were killed, in addition to the driver and a guard who were in the same car. The mujahideen returned back victorious and safe.?

Ansar al-Sunna, in the second communiqué, rejoice in the attack on the Heit barracks yesterday, calling it a ?courageous, unique operation of the mujahideen? and state that ?where they [the American soldiers] thought that they were safe… they did not know that the mujahideen prepared for them what they did not expect.?

Concluding the message, Ansar al-Sunna challenges that: ?You worshipper of the cross, you better know that you fight Allah?s soldiers, and Allah said who fights Allah will be defeated, and we will see.?
