Al-Qaeda in Iraq Claims Responsibility for Imprisoning Two Marine Soldiers and Threatens to Kill Them
By SITE Institute
October 3, 2005

In a message posted by Abu Maysara Al-Iraqi, the official spokesman of Al-Qaeda in Iraq, the organization claims responsibility for abducting two marine soldiers participating in Operation 'Iron Fist' in the west of Iraq. The message sets an ultimatum of 24 hours to release Muslim women from jails in Iraq, warning that otherwise the US "should not take the pains of looking for their sons", emphasizing that Al-Qaeda "crave to butcher them".

A full translation of the message is provided to our Intel Service members.
