In seven communiqués issued today, October 5, 2005, al-Qaeda in Iraq claims responsibility for several bombing operations and confrontations targeting American forces, Iraqi Police, and National Guards in Baghdad, al-Mosul, an Tal Afar:

  1. Claims Responsibility for an Attack and a Tight Ambush on the Police in al-Maqdadiya
  2. Claims Responsibility of Detonating a Car Bomb on the Police in the Street of al-Watheq in the Center of Baghdad
  3. Claims Responsibility for Assassinating a Collaborator with the Crusaders in al-Mosul
  4. Claims Responsibility for Bombing the Crusaders in al-Mosul
  5. Claims Responsibility for Confrontations with the National Guards in al-Mosul
  6. Claims Responsibility for Detonating an Explosive Package on the National Guards in al-Mosul
  7. Claims Responsibility for Detonating an Explosive Package on the Crusaders in Tal Afar
