Ansar al-Sunna Claims Responsibility for 3 Attacks on US Forces
By SITE Institute
October 13, 2005

On Thursday October 13, 2005, Ansar al-Sunna claimed responsibility for three bombings against American forces. Two of the attacks occurred in Ramadi and the third occurred in an area just outside Baghdad.

The first attack, the group claims, destroyed a Humvee with and IED (improvised explosive device) around 9pm and fails to report on the amount of casualties in the bombing.

Again targeting Humvees with IED?s, Ansar al-Sunna describes destroying two vehicles in an area in Ramadi and killing all inside the vehicles.

The third attack, against an American military base outside Baghdad, was carried out launching six mortar shells inside the base. The communiqué could not assess the casualty or injury level of the American forces.

A full translation of the three messages are provided to our Intel Service members.
