Al-Qaeda in Iraq Announces the Harvest in Dyali Province, Provides a Video of a Shot Down Spy Plane, and Claims Responsibility for a Bombing Targeting American Forces in Bahraz

In two communiqués and a one-minute video issued today, October 19, 2005, al-Qaeda in Iraq announces the ?harvest? in Dyali governorate from the dates October 11-18, including thirteen bombings and attacks targeting American and Iraqi forces in al-Miqdadiya, Baquba, and Bahraz, and claims responsibility for detonating an improvised explosive device (IED) yesterday on a ?crusaders? convoy? in Bahraz, allegedly destroying a Humvee and killing the four soldiers inside.

The video depicts four mujahideen standing around a spy plane which was allegedly shot down north of Baghdad, near al-Bakr base.

The video clip and a translation of both messages are provided to our Intel Service members.
