Al-Qaeda in Iraq Claims Responsibility for Bombing Operations Targeting Iraqi Police and National Guards in Baquba, Baghdad, and Dyali

In four communiqués issued today, October 24, 2005, al-Qaeda in Iraq claims responsibility for assassinating a ?spy? in Baquba yesterday, Sunday, October 23, detonating a car bomb today on an Iraqi Police patrol at the Eastern Gate in Baghdad, allegedly destroying two police cars and killing those inside, firing mortar shells at a place the Iraqi police ?laid their hands on? in al-Khales, and detonating an improvised explosive device (IED) on a National Guard patrol in the city of Mandily, in Dyali, last Thursday.
