Ansar al-Sunnah Claims Responsibility for Confrontations with Iraqi Police in al-Mosul, Bombing Operations Targeting Kurdish Bishmarka Forces and Iraqi Police in Kirkuk, and Attacking Iraqi National Guards in al-Mosul

Ansar al-Sunnah issued five communiqués today, October 24, 2005, claiming responsibility for attacks during the weekend and today, including confrontations with Iraqi police in al-Wehda section of al-Mosul on Saturday and Sunday, firing mortar shells at al-Salam Hospital, used as a National Guard quarters in al-Mosul, the detonation of an improvised explosive device (IED) today in Kirkuk which targeted Kurdish Bishmarka forces, and another bombing in al-Qadisiya, Kirkuk, killing ?police experts? trained in dismantling explosives.
