Ansar al-Sunnah Claims Responsibility for Bombing Operations and Attacks Targeting American and Iraqi Forces in Baghdad and Kirkuk

In four additional communiqués issued today, October 24, 2005, Ansar al-Sunnah claims responsibility for detonating a car bomb in al-Sha?ab district in northeast Baghdad, targeting an Iraqi police patrol, detonating two improvised explosive devices (IEDs), one in al-Habiba, Baghdad, on a National Guard patrol, and another on an American convoy in al-Howeija, Kirkuk, and an ambush on American soldiers in Kirkuk yesterday, where five vehicles were allegedly destroyed and the number of casualties is estimated by the group to be more than twenty.
