Ansar al-Sunnah Claims Responsibility for Attacks Targeting American and Iraqi Forces in al-Mosul and Kirkuk, and Provides Video of Bombing an American Minesweeper in al-Karma

Ansar al-Sunnah issued four communiqués and a one-minute video yesterday, October 27, 2005, claiming responsibility for attacks in al-Mosul on Monday and in Kirkuk, including the firing of mortar shells upon the National Guard quarters in the Somer section, firing on Iraqi police in al-Wehda, and detonating an improvised explosive device (IED) on an American armored vehicle near the bridge of San Hareeb, allegedly killing three soldiers, and detonating a car bomb on a National Guard convoy near al-Howeija, allegedly killing a captain and two soldiers. The video depicts the bombing of an America minesweeper in al-Karma, west of Baghdad.
