Islamic Army in Iraq Notes an Improvement in How to Use IEDs and Claims Responsibility for Bombings Targeting American Humvees
By SITE Institute
November 16, 2005

The Islamic Army in Iraq issued two communiqués today, November 16, 2005, claiming responsibility for detonating an improvised explosive device (IED) on an American Humvee, allegedly killing four American soldiers, and destroying a Humvee in Baghdad al-Jadida, on Sunday, utilizing ?improvements? in the detonation of an IED. According to the message, rather than planting the explosive, it was thrown, and in this case, entered the upper opening of the Humvee.

A full translation of both messages is provided to our Intel Service members.
