Al-Qaeda in Iraq Claims Responsibility for Attacks Targeting American and Iraqi Forces in al-Tarmiya, Behrez, Khan Bani Sa’ad, al-Mahmoudiya, and al-Mosul

Al-Qaeda in Iraq, in five communiqués issued today, November 17, 2005, claims responsibility for detonating improvised explosive devices (IEDs) on an American Humvee in al-Tarmiya and a vehicle of the ?Iraqi army converters? in Behrez, murdering a leader of al-Ghadr Brigade in Khan Bani Sa?ad, and attacking a National Guard patrol in al-Mahmoudiya and a checkpoint in al-Mosul, killing six Iraqi soldiers and taking their weapons.

A translation of the five messages are provided to our Intel Service members.
