The Islamic Army in Iraq, Mujahideen Army, Twentieth Revolution Brigades, and Islamic Iraqi Resistance Front (Ja’ami) Respond to Iraqi President Talabani Desire to Have Discussions with the Iraqi Resistance
By SITE Institute
November 21, 2005

The Islamic Army in Iraq, Mujahideen Army, Twentieth Revolution Brigades, and the Islamic Iraqi Resistance Front (Ja?ami), through the ?Coordination Department of the Jihad Brigades,? recently issued a statement about the desire of Iraqi President Jalal Talabani to meet with the Iraqi resistance to discuss their legitimacy and a possible reconciliation. The groups announce that although they are not against any project which may pull Iraq ?out of its misery,? it must not contradict principles of Islamic law, and further, they do not seek legitimacy from the government.

The statement indicates that the hits of the mujahideen are increasing, and ?their love of jihad for the sake of Allah is growing day after day.?

A translation of the statement is provided to our Intel Service members.
