Al-Qaeda in Iraq Claims Responsibility for Spate of Attacks Throughout al-Mosul and Bombing a Checkpoint in Baghdad

Al-Qaeda in Iraq issued thirteen communiqués today, November 23, 2005, claiming responsibility for several operations targeting American and Iraqi Forces in al-Mosul and Baghdad, including the detonation of improvised explosive devices (IEDs), sniper attacks, and armed confrontations.

  5. Claims Responsibility for Bombing a Checkpoint of al-Mothanna Bridge in Baghdad
  6. Claims Responsibility for Confrontations in the Industrial Area in al-Mosul
  7. Claims Responsibility for Killing Three Members of the Bishmarka in al-Mosul
  8. Claims Responsibility for Bombing the Presidential Palace in al-Mosul with Mortar Shells
  9. Claims Responsibility for Killing One of the Converted Police in al-Mosul
  10. Claims Responsibility for Detonating an Explosive Package on a Crusaders? Armored Vehicle in al-Mosul
  11. Claiming Responsibility for Destroying a Crusader?s Humvee in al-Mosul
