Ansar al-Sunnah Claims Responsibility for Bombings Targeting American Forces in Tikrit, Toz Khormato, Kirkuk, and Beiji
By SITE Institute
December 5, 2005

In four communiqués issued today, December 5, 2005, Ansar al-Sunnah claims responsibility for operations targeting American forces in Tikrit, Toz Khormato, and the expressway between Baghdad and al-Mosul, west of Tikrit, including the detonation of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) on a troop transportation vehicle, a car allegedly belonging to American intelligence, and a Humvee. In addition, the group amends a previous communiqué of bombing an American patrol in Beiji, adding that the attack destroyed a tank, ?killing and injuring? those soldiers inside.

A translation of the four messages is provided to our Intel Service members.
