The Victorious Army Group Claims Responsibility for Battles in al-Tarmiya, Alleging to Have Taken Control of the City, and the Assassination of a Badr Leader in Baghdad

In three communiqués issued today, December 6, 2005, the Victorious Army Group claims responsibility for assassinating a leader in Badr organization in Baghdad, and ?severe fighting? with American forces and Iraqi National Guards in al-Tarmiya. One message indicates that in the course of this confrontation four American Humvees and a car of the ?converters were destroyed, and a second includes additional details, including the destruction of fourteen American Humvees, allegedly killing 52 American and National Guard soldiers, in addition to five Iranian ?responsible figures?. The group alleges to have taken control of the area.
