The Islamic Army in Iraq Claims Responsibility for Killing Thirteen American Soldiers in an Attack in Abu Ghraib

The Islamic Army in Iraq issued a communiqué today, December 13, 2005, claiming responsibility for the murder of thirteen American soldiers in Abu Ghraib, when a troop transportation vehicle in which they were traveling was destroyed by the group. In addition, the message indicates that several other soldiers were injured in the attack.

A translation of the message is provided to our Intel Service members.
