The Mujahideen Army Issues a Statement Concerning the Results of the Elections and Claims Responsibility for a Suicide Bombing in al-Fallujah
By SITE Institute
December 28, 2005

The Mujahideen Army in Iraq issued two statements yesterday, December 27, 2005: one in which they explicate their position concerning the results of the recent elections, and another claiming responsibility for a suicide bombing on an ?infidel Crusader?s? convoy in al-Fallujah, last Thursday, December 22. Concerning the elections, the group states that the ?truth has come to light? of the Shi?ites and coalition?s ?nefarious goals? and pursuing democracy; however, the Mujahideen Army reminds people that they expected the worst for Iraq and distanced themselves from the ?political solution? while remaining true to Islam and jihad. The group urges Muslims to continue their patience, disassociation from the ?enemies of Allah?, and jihad as the necessary ways to endear themselves to Allah.

The second statement indicates that thirteen ?Crusader? soldiers were killed in a suicide bombing in al-Fallujah. The group praises the suicide bomber who drove his car bomb to the convoy and detonated the vehicle, after which the soldiers? ?torn body parts remained scattered on the middle of the road.?
