Ansar al-Sunnah Claims Responsibility for Attacks on Talibani’s Party Offices, and Bombings of American and Iraqi Forces’ Patrols in al-Mosul

Ansar al-Sunnah issued a communiqué today, January 3, 2006, containing ?bloody messages sent to the sons of monkeys and pigs? composed by the mujahideen in al-Mosul, describing five ?heroic? operations executed in al-Mosul between Sunday, January 1, and yesterday. According to the message, the group launched three separate attacks on the office of Jalal al-Talibani?s party in the Nour section of al-Mosul, detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) on an Iraqi police patrol, allegedly destroying a Land Cruiser, and another IED on an American force?s patrol.
