Ansar al-Sunnah, in four communiqués issued today, January 17, 2006, claims responsibility for multiple assassinations, including of ?one of the most dangerous? American spies in al-Mosul yesterday, a companion of the Kirkuk chief of police, and three members of the Kurdish Union Party who are working in the ?high delegation of honesty? that supervises the elections, warning that Jalal al-Talibani?s ?days are numbered? and stating that the price paid for their religion was a ?bad sale?. In addition, the group announces six operations of their ?harvest? in al-Mosul on Sunday, January 14 and Monday, including machine gun and rockets attacks upon American and Iraqi forces.
