A Plan to Extend the American Military Presence in Iraq until it is Exhausted
By SITE Institute
January 23, 2006

A presentation of methods to extend the presence of the American military and ?cut off Bush?s fleeing? from Iraq was recently posted to a password-protected al-Qaeda-affiliated forum. The author predicates his suggestions on the belief that when soldiers leave the ground in Iraq, air bombings will commence that are directed from afar, and create an ?agent government? supported by neighboring countries that will be made to see the mujahideen as an ?imminent danger?.

The author advocates ten points for his plan, including the elimination of heads of the police and army organizers, infiltrate the Iraqi army with mujahideen for intelligence collection, refrain from killing policemen so as not to anger the Iraqi people, and to kill as many Americans in Iraq as possible. He states: ?[w]e have to concentrate all operations upon them and photograph them, then place them on the Internet to show their defeat in front of the whole world and destroy their image. Within concentration upon preparation of direct sniping, this is effective with less cost, and it saves the mujahideen souls.?

A translation of the presentation is provided to our Intel Service members.
