A Statement from the Planning and Follow-Up Authority in Iraq Announcing Strikes Upon Christian Planes in Iraq as an Example of Revenge for Caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad
By SITE Institute
February 3, 2006

A group calling itself the ?Planning and Follow-Up Authority? [Haiya al-Moutaba?a Wal Tahktit] recently issued a message claiming that they struck ?Christian planes? in Iraq to serve as an example to the Muslims that they should abandon the boycott of Danish and Norwegian goods in favor of aggressive jihad. The message states: ?So they befriend the best Allah has created with their stomachs and not their necks. We see them suffice by boycotting the products of these countries and depend on the products of other countries… and as if it was a matter of commerce, food and drink, and not a matter of religion and Tawhid.?

According to the statement, the caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad are part of the alleged ?Crusader war? campaign with the Vatican to humiliate Muslims. Further, the group states that the Christians in Iraq are the ?eyes on the weakness of the Muslims, and their silence to these campaigns is a mere proof that they are a part of them.?

A translation of the message is provided to our Intel Service members.
