The Mujahideen Shura Council Claims Responsibility for Car Bombings and Attacks Targeting Coalition and Iraqi Forces in Baghdad, al-Fallujah, al-Mosul, and Diyali

The Mujahideen Shura Council issued six communiqués amongst several more today, February 7, 2006, claiming responsibility for detonating a car bomb on a National Guard patrol Sunday in al-Dawra, south of Baghdad, and a second car bombing on a National Guard patrol Monday in al-Fallujah; detonating an improvised explosive device (IED) on a ?Crusader?s Humvee? in al-Taramiya, north of Baghdad; bombing ?Crusader? bases in al-Yusefiya, south of Baghdad, alleged hitting a Black Hawk, and al-Mansouriya, in Diyali; and attacking an Iraqi police patrol Monday in al-Mosul, allegedly killing five officers.

The Mujahideen Shura Council is composed of seven insurgency groups in Iraq: al-Qaeda in Iraq, Victorious Army Group, the Army of al-Sunnah Wal Jama?a, Ansar al-Tawhid Brigades, Islamic Jihad Brigades, the Strangers Brigades, and the Horrors Brigades, collaborating to meet the ?unbelievers gathering with different sides? and defend Islam.
