Majelis Mujahideen in Indonesia Reports an Audience with the Ambassador of Denmark and its Protest Note
By SITE Institute
February 10, 2006

The Majelis Mujahideen in Indonesia (MMI) posted a report on their website yesterday, February 9, 2006, concerning the reception of three members of the group?s leadership with the Ambassador of Denmark, Niels Erik Andersen, in Rajawali, Indonesia. The members, Fauzan al-Anshari, Haris Amir Falah, and ?Salman,? met with the ambassador to read the group?s protest note, which include condemnations towards a series of caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad that was published in the Danish paper, Jyllands Posten, and demands that Denmark should make in an apology.

According to the report, Ambassador Andersen conveyed the apology of the Dnaish government for the incident, and produced a letter of apology of the editor-in-chief of the paper, Carsten Justen. Regardless, MMI declared the apology as not serious and mere ?camoflauge,? as the group only had the opportunity to bring three people to the meeting without press coverage. They state: ?if the wrong is repeated, the rule of Islam apply.?
