By SITE Institute
February 13, 2006

Ansar al-Sunnah issued a 1:13 minute video of an improvise explosive device (IED) detonation on an American foot patrol in al-Yusefiya, south of Baghdad, and five communiqués within the past 24-hours, claiming responsibility for bombings targeting American patrols in al-Mosul and al-Tooz, executing a ?surprise attack? with machine guns on a foot patrol of Iraqi Interior Ministry troops in the Green Zone of Baghdad, and a ?large attack? in the Rasafa side of Baghdad, targeting ?Crusaders and their servants, the unbelieving Shi?ites.? According to the message, many IEDs and bomb-strapped motorcycles were employed, and resulted in allegedly killing many of these forces.

Further, the group states: ?We bring the goods news to the Muslims in this country and outside that the mujahideen are in good condition with very high morale. Their operations are getting bigger, at the same time our enemy had reached a stage of collapse after they got help from all its allies, and had no more to stop the mujahideen from their hits.?

The video clip and a translation of the five messages are provided to our Intel Service members.
