By SITE Institute
March 16, 2006

In two communiqués amongst several issued today, March 16, 2006, by the Mujahideen Shura Council, the group claims responsibility for detonating an improvised explosive device (IED) on an American minesweeper one the road of Sharaban yesterday, allegedly killing three ?infidels,? and another IED, also yesterday, targeting a ?Crusader? armored vehicle on Baghdad Street in al-Mosul.

The Mujahideen Shura Council is composed of seven insurgency groups in Iraq: al-Qaeda in Iraq, Victorious Army Group, the Army of al-Sunnah Wal Jama?a, Ansar al-Tawhid Brigades, Islamic Jihad Brigades, the Strangers Brigades, and the Horrors Brigades, collaborating to meet the ?unbelievers gathering with different sides? and defend Islam.
