The Mujahideen Shura Council Claims Responsibility for Myriad Attacks Targeting “Crusader” Forces in Balad, al-Mosul, and Beiji, and an Operation Targeting Iraqi Police in al-Mosul

The Mujahideen Shura Council issued six communiqués amongst several today, March 22, 2006, claiming responsibility for murdering a commander in the ?Crusader? army who is referred to as ?Futson,? last Thursday, March 16 in Balad; a suicide bombing today in Dawrat al-Yarmouk, in al-Mosul, targeting a ?Crusader? convoy and allegedly killing soldiers in an armored vehicle; attacking an Iraqi police patrol in the al-Mothanna section of al-Mosul on Sunday, March 19; and additional attacks targeting ?Crusaders? and their alleged spies in Beiji, al-Mosul airport, and Baghdad Street in al-Mosul.

The Mujahideen Shura Council is composed of seven insurgency groups in Iraq: al-Qaeda in Iraq, Victorious Army Group, the Army of al-Sunnah Wal Jama?a, Ansar al-Tawhid Brigades, Islamic Jihad Brigades, the Strangers Brigades, and the Horrors Brigades, collaborating to meet the ?unbelievers gathering with different sides? and defend Islam.
