The Mujahideen Shura Council Claims Responsibility for a Suicide Bombing at the Iraqi Criminal Court and Bombing a Humvee in al-Howeija
By SITE Institute
March 24, 2006

The Mujahideen Shura Council claims responsibility for a suicide operation on the ?big criminal court? and a bombing of a ?Crusader?s? Humvee in al-Howeija yesterday in two of the group?s communiqués issued today, March 24, 2006. The suicide bombing, indicating to have been executed by Abu Sayaf al-Iraqi, a member of the group?s suicide brigade, detonated his car bomb on the Iraqi government?s ?sanctuary? allegedly killing thirty-two Iraqi policemen and injuring another forty.

The Mujahideen Shura Council is composed of eight insurgency groups in Iraq: al-Qaeda in Iraq, Victorious Army Group, the Army of al-Sunnah Wal Jama?a, Jama?a al-Murabiteen, Ansar al-Tawhid Brigades, Islamic Jihad Brigades, the Strangers Brigades, and the Horrors Brigades, collaborating to meet the ?unbelievers gathering with different sides? and defend Islam.
