Ansar al-Sunnah Issues Video of Executing Two Members of Badr Brigade, and Claims Responsibility for Bombing an American Patrol in al-Sayediya and Firing Upon Another in al-Riyad
By SITE Institute
April 17, 2006

Ansar al-Sunnah issued three communiqués amongst several today, April 17, 2006, one including a 3:26 minute execution video of Badr Brigade members, claiming responsibility for this action, in addition to detonating an improvised explosive device (IED) on an American patrol in al-Sayediya, and firing upon ?cross-soldiers? in the area of al-Riyad, purportedly killing two.

According to the message introducing the video, the two captured members of the Badr Brigade at Ameriyat al-Fallujah were set to execute an operation on a mosque in revenge for their friend, Jalal, who was assassinated some time before by the mujahideen. The video depicts the two men being interrogated, followed by a scene in which their outer garments have been removed and they answer additional questions before being shot separately from point-blank range according to ?Allah?s Orders?.

The video and a translation of the three messages are provided to our Intel Service members.
