In a detailed statement issued today, April 19, 2006, the Mujahideen Shura Council describe their operation in the cities of al-Ramadi and al-Sigariya on Monday, April 17, 2006. The operation, given the name of ?Bilal al-Kobessie,? involved the use of four car bombs and suicide bomber to destroy the ?Crusaders? quarters in the former Military Affairs building in al-Ramadi, allegedly killing forty soldiers, and at the same time, other mujahideen from the group struck the nationalization building, governorate building and two Humvees on al-Rous Street.

In al-Sigariya, the statement lists ten separate attacks targeting armored vehicles, tanks, a checkpoint and a ?house of snipers? that were hit with a variety of weapons including mortar shells, rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), and automatic weapons.

The Mujahideen Shura Council is composed of eight insurgency groups in Iraq: al-Qaeda in Iraq, Victorious Army Group, the Army of al-Sunnah Wal Jama?a, Jama?a al-Murabiteen, Ansar al-Tawhid Brigades, Islamic Jihad Brigades, the Strangers Brigades, and the Horrors Brigades, collaborating to meet the ?unbelievers gathering with different sides? and defend Islam.
