April 27, 2006

A video depicting the ?confession? and execution of three employees of the Ferdana company, and seven communiqués, were issued by Ansar al-Sunnah between today, April 27, 2006 and yesterday. The three men are seated in an open area, answering questions regarding where they work, the amount they earn and what they do. Moments later, the video shows the employees wearing blindfolds and abruptly shot by three mujahideen in the back of the head, their bodies falling into a grave that had already been dug. A message introducing the video explains that Ferdana is a company that contracted with the American forces to destroy the weapons of the former Iraqi army, which are located inside American bases north of Baghdad.

In the seven message, the group claims responsibility for detonating improvised explosive devices (IEDs) on American military and intelligence targets in Heet, al-Yusefiya, Abu Ghraib and Balad; also, they fire multiple rockets and mortars at the ?dens? of al-Mahdi army in al-Kazemiya and Saba al-Bor, north of Baghdad.

The video and a translation of the eight messages are provided to our Intel Service members.
