Abu al-Rabiah, a suicide bomber from the Mujahideen Shura Council who detonated his truck in al-Ramadi on April 17, 2006, was recently eulogized on a password-protected jihadist forum. The message references a 1:08 minute video from the Mujahideen Shura Council in Iraq, which according to Reuters was distributed via discs in the markets of al-Ramadi, and depicts Abu al-Rabiah embracing his fellow mujahideen and driving his truck to the detonation site. The vehicle then explodes in a massive ball of fire as the man behind the camera chants ?Allah is Great?. This attack may have been one of those referenced by the Mujahideen Shura Council commander in al-Anbar who spoke to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in his video speech from April 25, 2006, ?A Message to the People,? concerning recent attacks against the ?Crusaders? in al-Ramadi.
The eulogy states that the bomber is 21-years old and responded to the call of jihad because ?[h]e wanted so much to see the paradise?. He purportedly contacted his parents after waiting twenty months for his chance for martyrdom, and though his father initially discouraged him from executing the bombing, relented and prayed to God for his acceptance as a martyr. Additional pictures of al-Rabiah are provided, and the eulogy concludes: ?The life of a young man of the nation ended. He had all of the virtues of preaching and jihad and praying, so congratulations.?
