The Mujahideen Army Claims Responsibility for Bombing a British Vehicle and Killing Two British Soldiers

The Mujahideen Army [Jeish al-Mujahideen] in Iraq issued a communique today, May 16, 2006, claiming responsibility for an attack on Sunday, May 14, targeting a Land Rover of the British forces with an improvised explosive device (IED). The message indicates that according to the ?confession? British military forces and satellite agencies, two soldiers were killed and a third injured.

Media reports have stated that the two British soldiers, Private Joseva Lewaicei and Private Adam Morris, were killed by a roadside bombing while on patrol in al-Basra, southeastern Iraq.
