The Islamic Army in Iraq Announces the Execution of Bandits and Provides Images of their Suspension from a Bridge
By SITE Institute
May 22, 2006

The Islamic Army in Iraq issued a communiqué yesterday, Sunday, May 21, 2006, announcing the execution of ?Allah?s Orders? on the bandits, Ahel al-Haraba, who purportedly cut off the roads and frightened Muslims, stealing their money and spilling the ?impermissible? blood. Soon after the group issued a follow-up message, containing three photographs of the men whom were ?convicted? by the Islamic Army and subsequently killed. One image shows the three bloodied and lying stomach-down with their hands bound on the side of a bridge; the remaining two depict them hanging over the bridge railing, the ropes tied around their wrists suspending them.

A translation of both message is provided to our Intel Service members.
