The Mujahideen Shura Council in Iraq issued within the past 24-hours a thirty-second video depicting the bombing of an American Humvee in North Baghdad, and four communiqués amongst over two dozen, claiming responsibility for attacks including: a suicide car bombing in al-Mosul on Saturday, May 20, 2006, targeting an American convoy and resulting in an unknown number of deaths; launching ten mortar shells at an Iraqi police administration building Sunday in Diyali; and detonating improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in Baquba in two separate operations, purportedly destroying American Humvees and killing those soldiers inside.

The Mujahideen Shura Council is composed of eight insurgency groups in Iraq: al-Qaeda in Iraq, Victorious Army Group, the Army of al-Sunnah Wal Jama?a, Jama?a al-Murabiteen, Ansar al-Tawhid Brigades, Islamic Jihad Brigades, the Strangers Brigades, and the Horrors Brigades, collaborating to meet the ?unbelievers gathering with different sides? and defend Islam.

The video and a translation of the four messages are provided to our Intel Service members.
