The Harvest of Military Operations of the Taliban Between Thursday, June 1, 2006, & Saturday, June 3, Including the Killing of Canadian and NATO Forces

The Taliban issued a communiqué today, June 6, 2006, describing their ?harvest? of military operations between Thursday, June 1, 2006, and the following Saturday, June 3, announcing operations executed in several provinces of Afghanistan targeted American, Afghani, Canadian and NATO forces. According to the message, in Qandahar on Friday, June 2, a suicide bomber from Khost detonated his car bomb in a Canadian convoy, purportedly destroying the forces? car and killing its five passengers. On Thursday, the Taliban states they blew up a NATO car in Kondoz, killing four soldiers, and killed six soldiers within the coalition force the same day in Frah province. Further, the group claims to have killed a total of twelve American soldiers in attacks executed in Helmond, Konar and Jalabad, and a total of ten Afghani soldiers in Konar, Frah and Ghazni.
