The ?harvest of military operations? consisting of bombings and confrontations in several provinces of Afghanistan by the mujahideen of the Taliban for the period of Monday, June 5, 2006 through the following Friday, June 9, was described in a communiqué the group issued Monday, June 12, 2006. In the provinces of Kunduz and Baghlan, the Taliban destroyed a total of three cars of the ISAF forces by remote detonation, purportedly killing seven soldiers. Also, the group states that a suicide bomber from Paktika detonated his bomb amidst an American and Afghani convoy in Khost and allegedly killing six Americans soldiers and three Afghanis. Other attacks include detonating improvised explosive devices (IEDs) remotely in Paktika, Zabol, Helmand and Nangarhar provinces, targeting American and Afghani forces, and the mujahideen acquiring much plunder.
