Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades Claims Responsibility for Firing Rockets at the Kibbutz Sa’ad, East of Gaza
By SITE Institute
June 14, 2006

The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades issued a communiqué today, June 14, 2006, claiming responsibility for launching an ?al-Tahir 1? long-range rocket at Kibbutz Sa?ad, east of Gaza today, allegedly hitting the target accurately. The group states that the bombing is a ?response to the Zionist threats and a natural response to the Zionist crimes to our Palestinian people everywhere.?

The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, first designated as a terrorist entity in March 2002, operates in Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip, and consists of an unknown number of small cells of Fatah-affiliated terrorists. Its goal is the removal of Israeli forces and people from the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Jerusalem to establish a Palestinian state.

A translation of the message is provided to our Intel Service members.
