Ansar al-Sunna Claim Responsibility for Car Bombings in al-Taji and al-Ramadi
By SITE Institute
March 15, 2005

On March 15, 2005, Ansar al-Sunna issued two communiqués claiming responsibility for three car bombings, one near a convoy in the American barracks in al-Taji, and another two, which struck two American armed vehicles in al-Ramadi, allegedly killing all on board.

The first communiqué states that: ?When the crusader convoy and their servants from the non-believers? guards came out, the believers? lions blew up the car on the convoy.? Furthermore, the message proclaims that ?We tell you, defenders of monkeys and pigs, Muslim blood and sacred things will not be in vain as long as Mohammad?s soldiers still have a pulse.?

Ansar al-Sunna, in the second communiqué, revel in their attack in al-Ramadi, saying: ?The non-believer enemy sent support to the first force and when it arrived, the heroes, the mujahideen, blew up another armed vehicle by explosives planted by the mujahideen.?

A full translation of the statement is provided to our Intel Service members.
