Al-Qaeda in Iraq's Latest Communiques Claiming Responsibility for Several Attacks in Mosul and al-Ramadi

Today, March 20, 2005, al Qaeda in Iraq issued four statements posted to the internet.

1. Al-Qaeda in Iraq claimed responsibility for the assassination of Walid Kashmoula, thehead of the Iraqi police anti-corruption department, who was killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up inside the government compound in Mosul. According to the communiqué, Walid Kashmoula was killed because ?he was the main American agent in the Naynawa Province?.

2. The second communiqué claims ?responsibility for the destruction of four armored vehicles in Mosul and the killings of all who were inside them?.

3. A statement describes ?al-Qaeda in Iraq?s latest achievements in Mosul?, in the last three days.

4. A communiqué by an ?al-Qaeda Organization in the Land of the Two Rivers takes responsibility of the Martyrdom operation against an American convoy in Al-Ramadi.?Attached is a translation of all four statements.
