Al Qaeda in Iraq Claims Responsibility for a Variety of Attacks in Iraq

Today, March 23, 2005, al Qaeda in Iraq issued three statements regarding recent attacks the group carried in Iraq. The first statement speaks to attacks on coalition convoys near Mosul, destroying several vehicles and killing one soldier. This statement also claims three additional Iraqi Army vehicles were destroyed.

The second statement by al Qaeda in Iraq tells of news from Nenawa where two explosive packs were detonated, destroying two Humvee vehicles.

Finally, a the third statement today, speaks of continued fighting by the mujahideen in Iraq.

?Your brothers in al Qaeda Organization in the country of the two rivers are fighting victoriously [against] the Jews and Christians and the slaves of the nonbeliever [Iraqi] Guard in Haditha and Alhaklania. They gave the nonbelievers hell, humiliating and killing them.
