Ansar al-Sunna Claims Responsibility for Two Separate Attacks in Heet and al-Haswa
By SITE Institute
March 24, 2005

Recently, Ansar al-Sunna issued two communiqués claiming responsibility for separate attacks in Iraq. The first, issued yesterday, March 23, 2005, described a rocket assault against military barracks in the city of Heet, Iraq. ?Grace to Allah,? the message reads, ?the three rockets hit the targets accurately, but we could not know how many casualties there were.?

The second statement, dated today, March 24, 2005, highlights the detonation of a car bomb along an Iraqi street, allegedly killing five. The act was perpetrated by ?one of our brave mujahideen [who] activated the remote from far away.?

A full translation of the two statements is provided to our Intel Service members.
