On April 5, 2005, the Iraqi insurgency group, Ansar al-Sunna released a communiqué and 3.5 minute video depicting a ?confession? and subsequent execution of a man charged with aiding American forces against the mujahideen.
Hussein Taha Qassim, the man depicted in the video, ?was mobilized to report the mujahideen. He did report on four mujahideen- the American forces burst into their houses by night and captured three of them.?
Warning both ?cross-worshippers? and Iraqi spies, the message states ?that the blood of Muslims that is shed by your hands, day and night, in secret and in open, is more dear to us than the destruction of Kaaba… [and] We do not accept less than your blood.? Ansar al-Sunnah is believed to be an offshoot of the al-Qaeda affiliate Ansar al-Islam Group, based in Iraq.
