The insurgent group al-Qaeda in Iraq released two official statements, posted on various jihadist website forums. In the first statement, the group claims responsibility for the kidnapping and assassination of Mohamed Kathim Al-Jazaeri, the Director of Al-Najaf Police (Badge # 14277) while walking in AL-Dora. The group claimed to have ?interrogated? al-Jazaeri and then ?executed Allah's judgment upon him.?

In a second message, al-Qaeda in Iraq proclaimed their delight stating,? We would like to bring the good news to you, the comrades of the monotheism, on the assurance of the exit of 150 prisoners from Abi Ghraib prison.? The group also praised the death of three ?martyrs? during the attack on the prison.

A full translation of the two statements is provided to our Intel Service members.
