Al-Qaeda in Iraq Executes American Pilot, Two Attacks in Baquba and Another Near Baghdad Northern Gate All on Sunday May 22, 05.

al-Qaeda in the Country of Two Rivers has claimed responsibility on May 22 , 2005 for the execution of American pilot, Neenus Khoshaba of Skokie, Illinois. The group offered the contents of Mr. Khoshaba?s wallet as proof of his capture. According to media reports, there is currently no other confirmation of Mr. Khoshaba?s status. The group claimed that the pilot was executed for his participation in the initial invasion of Iraq.

Additionally, the group claimed responsibility for two attacks in Baquba, Iraq: the detonation of an explosive package on a passing Coalition convoy and the launching of a ?massacre? of rocket barrages on the Coalition Base in Baquba.

Finally, al-Qaeda in Iraq issued a statement regarding a car bombing near the Baghdad Northern Gate. The group stated that, ?Your brothers in al-Qaeda Organization in the Land of Two Rivers continue in fighting them (those who are) the enemies of God on High, so that (practicing) the religion will be totally (dedicated) to Allah. It is victory over the human race or (our martyrdom) among the eternals.?
