Ansar al-Sunnah Claims Responsibility for an Attack Upon an American Convoy in Tikrit and Provides Video of the Destruction of a Watch Tower Inside an American Base north of Baghdad

Ansar al-Sunnah Army, recently issued two communiqués and a video, claiming responsibility for an attack today, June 20, 2005, on an American convoy in Tikrit, and the destruction of a watch tower at an American base, north of Baghdad this past Saturday, which is depicted in the 2:20 minute clip.

The first communiqué highlights an attack upon a convoy of American forces in Tikrit, north of Baghdad, where two explosive packages were each used to destroy two Humvee vehicles. According to the message, the first explosive hit its target, destroyed a Humvee ?and those who were in it turned to be scattered body parts.? The second package also struck a Humvee; however, the ?losses is not known.?

The second communiqué and accompanying video describe a bombing operation to demolish a watch tower ?used by the crusaders to watch the snipe.?
