Ansar al-Sunnah, in four separate communiqués issued today, July 1, 2005, claims responsibility for attacks on Iraqi police today in al-Kamalya in Baghdad, and operations executed upon American and Iraqi forces yesterday in Haditha, al-Ramadi, and al-Baladiat in Baghdad:
- The first communiqué states that today, an explosive package was detonated on a ?four-wheel drive car that belongs to the converted forces? in al-Kamalya. According to the message, the explosion resulted in killing the four Iraqi police officers in the patrol.
- Yesterday, as the second message highlights, an explosive package was detonated on the ?converted police forces? driving in al-Baladiat, in Baghdad. The message indicates that the losses ?were not known.?
- Another explosive package was used to destroy a Humvee, which was driving alongside an American patrol in al-Ziout, in al-Ramadi. The inhabitants on the vehicle are alleged to have been ?killed or injured….?
- The fourth communiqués describes a bombing operation that is alleged to have destroyed a Humvee on the Strategic Way near Haditha. According to the message, the operation resulted in ?killing or injuring all who were in the vehicle.?
