Al-Qaeda in Iraq Claims Responsibility for Suicide Bombings in Falluja and Sanjar, and Attacks on Humvees in Mosul and Yusifia

In four separate communiqués and two videos issued today, July 5, 2005, al-Qaeda in Iraq claims responsibility for a suicide bombing yesterday targeting members of the Iraqi National Guard in Falluja, another suicide operation on an American convoy in Sinjar, and several attacks on patrols of Humvee vehicles in Mosul and Yusifia.

The first communiqué states that yesterday, a suicide bomber detonated himself on a gathering of the National Guards in Fallujah. According to the message, the bomber ?killed tens of them.?

The second message highlights a suicide attack yesterday on an American patrol on the road of Sinjar, northwestern Iraq, which allegedly resulted in ?killing at least 15 and injuring others….?

Also yesterday, as described in the third message, a Humvee was destroyed in a bombing operation in Rabya, Mosul. The message states: ?[b]ody parts and dead bodies were scattered in the streets.?

According to the fourth communiqué, another bombing operation in Mosul yesterday, targeting an American patrol, caused the destruction of two Humvee and allegedly killed all who were inside the vehicles.
