Ansar al-Sunnah Claims Responsibility for the Murder of Jergeis Zeidan, a Member of the Democratic Kurdish Party, and Attacks on American and Iraqi Forces in Kirkuk and Tikrit

Ansar al-Sunnah, in four separate communiqués and an accompanying 1:45 minute video issued today, July 5, 2005, claims responsibility for the murder yesterday of Jergeis Zeidan, a member of the Democratic Kurdish party, in Mosul, attacks on American and Iraqi forces in Kirkuk and Tikrit, and firing four Katyusha rockets at an American base in Kirkuk, depicted in the video.

According to the first message, Jergeis Zeidan, principal of the Organization Section for the Democratic Kurdish party was shot yesterday in the area of al-Karama in Mosul. His murder is to serve as warning to other ?converters? and members of the Kurdish parties in Mosul that ?we have for each one of them a group of mujahideen who are trying to reach Allah.?

In the second communiqué, the group describes an operation yesterday striking six trucks transporting ?large concrete obstacles? and the execution of each of the drivers in the area of Toz Khormato, near Kirkuk. The message states that those carrying the ?obstacles? were warned against their transport, which were ?to serve the crusaders and converters,? and the murders are to serve as an example ?to those who will try to transport these obstacles.

The third communiqué states that eleven C5K rockets were fired at an American Forces? Intelligence Center in Tikrit. Further, Ansar al-Sunnah addresses the ?sons of monkeys and pigs from America and their supporters? that their fight will continue until victory or ?we are martyrs.?

The fourth message describes the accompanying video of the launching of four Katyusha rockets at an American base in Kirkuk.
