By SITE Institute
July 6, 2005

Ansar al-Sunnah issued three communiqués today claiming responsibility for attacks in Haditha, Tikrit, and al-Amiriya. According to the statements, on Tuesday June 5th, Ansar al-Sunnah attacked "the American intelligence center in the main American base in Tikrit with two katysuha rockets". The group further claims responsibility for attacking a gathering of American forces in Haditha on Wednesday evening. As of yet, there have been no media reports of either incident.

Ansar al-Sunnah's third statement references an undated attack on a Humvee in al-Amiriya, western Baghdad, during which "three crusaders were killed and two were seriously wounded."
