In a statement issued to the official site of the Muslim Brotherhood, ikhwanonline.com, yesterday, July 7, 2005, Mohammad Mahdi Akef, as General Advisor of the Muslim Brotherhood, denounces the murder of the Egyptian Ambassador to Iraq, Ihab al-Sherif, calling it a ?criminal act… contradictory to the values and principles of Islam.? However, Akef considers the American administration the ?first responsible? for the crime, due to the ?chaos, murders, and thefts? it has allegedly wrought during its occupation of Iraq.
